Description: Do you want your child to experience science with hands-on learning/experiments, discover new things, and learn more about God’s amazing creation? This course will excite your young student by introducing them to God's creation using an exciting series of books through Apologia. We use a four-year rotation of books in this series. Exploring Creation with Zoology 1: Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day, 2nd Edition is being used this year. Other books to be used in future years include: Exploring Creation with Botany (2026-2027), Exploring Creation with Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day (2027-2028) and Exploring Creation with Astronomy (2028-2029). We have been using these books for over 15 years and they are phenomenal! We also supplement each year with a unit study on the human body. Further, we include new material on the human body each of the four years in the rotation. Students will participate in a hands-on laboratory experiment every week, a variety of active-learning field trips and a Science project day at the end of the year. Homework will be assigned each week. Also, in order to give the young students a chance to develop their test-taking skills, tests are given every four to five weeks in a very relaxed classroom environment.

*The Online Real Time (ORT) students will have the opportunity to perform many of the same hands-on lab experiments at home. Supply lists will be provided prior to class for items that are easily available. For those that are more difficult to obtain, students will be included through observation and discussion.
