Course: Elementary Extracurricular Day
Grade Level: K-5th (At this time, we are unable to accommodate students with severe learning or social challenges)
Day/Time: Thursday 9:05am - 2:35pm
Instructors: Amy Tolson, Meghan Tholken, Jamie Henderson, & Jennifer Clark
Cost: $145 per month + $75 application fee
Location: This class meets at Brainerd Hills Baptist Church.  It is a two-minute drive from HHL’s main campus
Books: No books are needed - see supplies list below
Description: Bring your child for a fun-filled day of activities with their friends like nature exploration, art projects, science experiments, music, theater, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, and more! Mixed in with the activities, each student will bring homework and a “to-do list” from home to work on throughout the day with the guidance of our extremely loving and qualified teachers. Note: You do not have to be enrolled in our Elementary Immersive Program on Mondays/Tuesdays in order to take advantage of this special day!  All homeschool families are welcome to apply.

Sample Schedule for the Elementary Extracurricular Day: 

(Individual classroom schedule may vary based on teacher preference)

9:05am | Drop off, welcome time, get settled for the day

9:15am | Circle time (devotion, announcements)

9:30am | Guided study/homework time in homerooms

10:00am | Snack time and movement outside

10:25am | 1st Extracurricular Rotation (For example, art projects)

11:00am | Guided study/homework time in homerooms

11:30am | Lunch and recess outside (gym if inclement weather)

11:55am | 2nd Extracurricular Rotation (For example, music/theater)

12:30pm | 3rd Extracurricular Rotation (For example, PE/games)

1:05pm | Guided study/homework time in homerooms

1:35pm | Recess or Creative exploration time, class parties, holiday celebrations, special speaker

1:50pm| 4th Extracurricular Rotation (For example, nature study/creative story time)

2:25pm| Back to homerooms to pack up

2:35pm | Dismiss to car line for pick up
