Description: Our Elementary Creative Writing and Grammar Courses are designed to provide your student with the building blocks to become confident and creative writers in any genre. We will cover topics such as story structure, the elements of fiction, sensory details and much more. This class also includes a survey of grade-level grammar concepts, with a practical focus on incorporating these concepts into real writing pieces. Weekly assignments will include journal pages, writing prompts and grammar exercises. Students will also write several larger projects throughout the year. If taken as a four-year rotation, students will have studied and written projects in 16 different genres.
