We highly recommend that your child take the ACT and/or SAT in the spring of their sophomore year, or in the fall of their junior year at the latest. We offer excellent ACT workshops in the fall and spring semesters. The workshops are conveniently scheduled to end within one week of an ACT test date. This way your child can take the test with the material fresh on their mind. If you are interested in one of our beneficial ACT workshops, please click HERE.

Having your child start a resume their freshman year is another advantageous thing to do. In a format similar to a job resume, list various things in which they participate while in high school (9th-12th grade). This might include activities such as a job, volunteering, a mission trip, church choir, being involved in a club, or participating in an athletic program.
Keep a comprehensive reading list of all books that are high school level that your student has read. Add to this list regardless of how young your student is at the time they read the book. If it is high school level or higher, put it on the list.
