Description: Again this year, we have partnered with Precept Ministries to introduce the inductive method of studying God’s Word, while doing activities like review games, quizzes, memory verse work, and artistic projects to help students remember what they’ve read and discussed in class. The inductive Bible study curriculum not only teaches students the Word, but teaches students how to mine truth in the Word. This year we will study the life of David through 1 and 2 Samuel. What did God see in this young man He anointed King of Israel? What does God see when He looks at your heart? Also, since Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles are historical books tied closely together, we will learn about the period ending the times of the judges and marking the beginning of the period of the kings of Israel. In this study we will learn more about prayer, total sufficiency of God’s grace and forgiveness, ways to please, honor, and worship God, and what it truly means to trust God’s promises. Desiring God’s Own Heart will help you turn more fully to God and develop a deeper understanding of His heart. This is a FREE course being offered on a first-come first-serve basis to any accepted HHL middle school student. Spots are limited to ensure optimal class size and teacher-to-student ratio. Homework will be given each week; the amount will depend on which workbook you choose for your child. For more information on Precept Ministries, go to Precept Ministries’ website at: www.precept.org
*Students must take at least one other class at HHL to be eligible for this free class.
