Description: We have partnered with Precept Ministries to introduce the inductive method of studying God’s Word with the “IN & OUT” series. The inductive Bible study curriculum not only teaches students the Word, but teaches students how to mine truth in the Word. This year we will study a New Testament book, Titus, and two Old Testament books, Ruth and Esther. We will focus on relationships and choices. Students will be encouraged to live with integrity in a nation without morals and influence adverse conditions in positive ways in our society. From the New Testament, we will go back and peek into the Old Testament through the eyes of two women in, Esther and Ruth. In the rich study of Ruth, students will learn how Jesus both bought us (redeemer) and advocates (defends) for us, offering us an opportunity to renew and rebuild our broken lives. Whereas in the book of Esther, God shows us how He fulfills His purpose in the lives of His people. God still uses ordinary people to complete extraordinary things for His glory. Let us also learn what a godly man and woman look like from the characters in these story-lines. Taste and see a new and improved way to benefit from weekly round table discussion group discovering God’s Word for yourself. This is a FREE course being offered on a first come first serve basis to any accepted HHL high school student. Spots are limited to ensure optimal class size and teacher to student ratio. The course format will require a small amount of homework each week depending on the amount the round tables complete together in class. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in field trips and community service projects.
*Students must take at least one other class at HHL to be eligible for this free class.
Supplies List: 2” 3- ring Binder, eight colored fine-tip marking pens and carrying case, pen/pencil for note taking, and Bible.

Description: This opportunity is only available to students who have a class before AND after the study hall. If your child has a break in-between classes that is longer than our 10 minute transition (not including the lunch hour), and you would like for your child to stay on campus, you must apply for a corresponding study hall. It is our hope and desire for the student to make the most of this occasion, using the time to study diligently, take a mental break, or read quietly. Your child will have plenty of time for lunch (12:10 – 12:35) either before or after the study hall.
*If your child needs to come early or stay on campus during these times, for car-pooling purposes, they have a sibling in a class at this time, or it’s necessary for them to be at HHL for other situations, you may apply for this study hall.
